Introducing the new RCI-2950 DX & RCI-2970 DX. These new DX models feature microprocessor control of not one but two amateur bands. The new RCI-2950DX, rated at 25W PEP and the RCI-2970DX, rated at 150W PEP are perfect for the recent band openings on 10 and 12 meters. Now you can upgrade your mobile Ham capabilities with a radio that is rich in features and reasonable in cost. The new DX models have retained the operating features of its popular predecessors, including programmable repeater offset and capabilities for a CTCSS tone option — great for increasing repeater activity on 10 meters — and receiver scanning for quick search of active frequencies. The units offer three methods of frequency selection, non-volatile memory to store and scan up to ten favorite frequencies, and front panel frequency selector lockout. Ranger Communications, Inc., (RCI) is pleased to announce that the warranty period on the new RCI-2950DX and RCI-2970DX has been increased from the previous 1 year time period to a full 2 year warranty. This includes parts and labor.
Ranger believes that with the new surface mount technology (SMT) implemented within the design of these models, the resistance to shock and vibration has greatly increased and the DX Series should have the longer warranty period.

Ranger Communications Presents RCI-6300 & 6900 Series AM-FM-SSB 10 Mtr Mobile Radios The Toughest 10 meter Rig Going The Ranger RCI-6300F (AM/FM) and RCI-6900F (SSB/AM /FM) series of amateur mobile transceivers offer exceptional value for Novice and Technician Class amateurs upgrading to Tech Plus and higher. These entry-level units are designed for easy, reliable and safe mobile operation. Available in high and low power versions, the RCI-6300F and RCI-6900F transceivers provide excellent receiver sensitivity and multi-mode operation at a fraction of the cost of full band transceivers. The easy-to-use frequency selection system covers the 10- meter amateur band in 6-band segments. Actual operating frequency is accurately displayed in the 6-digit LED display that’s easy to read even in bright sunlight. A channel indicator speeds return to a popular or previously used frequency without interfering with the operator's attention to the road. Selectable Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL) and Noise Blanker assures noise reduction during mobile operation. Front panel RF power output control and RF Gain controls enable the operator to set transmitter power and receiver sensitivity to match operating conditions. Additional front panel controls assure optimum performance under widely varying conditions: —     A +10 kHz switch complements the frequency selection system by shifting the Tx and Rx frequencies up by a known amount for increased driving safety. —     Separate coarse and fine tuning controls for tuning above and below the selected frequency for ease of operations.
